Montana Spirit Guest Lodge is located in a natural Montana environment offering opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation and river-related activities. Guests are expected to use reasonable judgment and comply with all safety instructions, property rules, posted notices, and applicable laws.

1. Natural Environment

Guests acknowledge that natural environments can involve conditions including uneven or slippery ground, rocks, vegetation, natural obstacles, rapidly changing weather, cold temperatures, snow or ice, wildlife, insects, river currents, deep or cold water, wet surfaces, remote or rural conditions, reduced cellular coverage, and other outdoor recreational hazards. Guests should use appropriate footwear, clothing, equipment, and precautions.

2. Madison River and Water Activities

River access and other water-related activities involve inherent risks. Water levels, currents, temperatures, riverbeds, weather conditions, and access conditions can change without notice. Guests entering or approaching the river do so according to their own ability and should comply with all posted warnings and applicable governmental advisories. Children should be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult near water.

3. Fishing

Guests are responsible for complying with all applicable fishing laws, including licensing, seasonal restrictions, limits, equipment restrictions, and other regulations. Unless expressly included in a package, guests are responsible for obtaining their own fishing licenses and required permits.

4. Wildlife

Wild animals should never be approached, fed, handled, or intentionally disturbed. Guests should keep food, waste, and personal belongings appropriately secured.

5. Children

Parents, guardians, and supervising adults are responsible for children in their party. Children should not be left unsupervised in areas presenting natural, water-related, fire-related, or other safety hazards.

6. Property and Equipment

Guests must use lodge furnishings, fireplaces, recreational equipment, rental equipment, and other property only for their intended purposes. Instructions provided by Montana Spirit Guest Lodge or equipment providers must be followed.

7. Alcohol and Conduct

Guests consuming alcohol must do so lawfully and responsibly. Disruptive, threatening, dangerous, unlawful, or destructive conduct may result in removal from the property without refund where permitted by law.

8. Personal Property

Guests are responsible for safeguarding personal belongings. Montana Spirit Guest Lodge is not responsible for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged personal property except where responsibility is imposed by applicable law.

9. Emergency Conditions

In an emergency, guests should call 911 or the appropriate emergency service. Guests should follow instructions from emergency personnel, governmental agencies, property representatives, and posted safety notices.

10. Acknowledgment of Outdoor Risks

Participation in outdoor recreational activities may involve inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated. Guests are responsible for determining whether a particular activity is appropriate for themselves and members of their party based on experience, physical ability, weather, equipment, and current conditions. Nothing in this notice waives rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
